Each category is open to SMEs within
the local authority district of Winchester.
Businesses
may apply for any or all categories. They are
chosen to enable local business to demonstrate
excellence in a number of diverse areas. Click

All entrants will be nominated for this award. Business planning, clever marketing and sound financials combine to produce strong business growth. This award will be presented to a dynamic company with fewer than 200 employees that demonstrates excellence in all aspects of business performance.
This award will recognise a business or organisation which has embraced the creative use of technology in order to stand out from their competitors. The winning business will be able to demonstrate how investment and commitment to technical advancement has improved efficiency, service and quality of end product.
This award will be presented to an outstanding local organisation which has embraced the opportunity the internet provides to drive business forward. Judges are particularly looking for a non IT based company which is making full use of the internet, for example to attract new customers, provide great customer service, manage relationships with suppliers and market their business
Vision, endless enthusiasm and a
strong belief in oneself are all characteristics
of successful entrepreneurs. This award recognises
the achievement of such individuals in creating
and growing successful local businesses.
This award will go to an outstanding
local business which has developed new and innovative
business practices to embrace the challenge of
climate change. The winning
business will demonstrate positive environmental
impact through its own processes and behaviour
and is likely to be able to demonstrate an increase
in business success as a result.
Presented to an outstanding rural
business that balances the need to be competitive
with a responsibility to the local environment
and community.
This award will be made to an organisation
making effective use of a customer service initiative
to deliver business plan objectives and demonstrating
improved business
performance as a result.
This award will be presented to an outstanding BID member business or organisation which enhances the economy of Winchester City Centre through a philanthropic approach to business. The winning business will display a high standard of civic pride and a commitment to the look, feel and ongoing success of Winchester as a destination for commerce.
