Winchester BID Member of the Year Award
Amy McCartan, Marketing Manager
for Winchester BID, comments:
This year we have seen a great deal of companies
demonstrate their civic pride and commitment to
the city by being a positive and proactive member
of the local business community. The final 4 selected
companies have displayed these qualities. The
winner will show evidence of going above and beyond
the call of duty to make Winchester the preferred
place in which to shop, work, live and visit.
Kall Kwik

services for business and home customers and can
deliver anywhere in the UK. KK Winchester Ltd

design and print needs.
The Chesil Rectory
The Chesil Rectory reopened under new ownership
in October 2008 and is now firmly established
as one of Winchester's best independently owned
modern British restaurants. The Chesil Rectory
is a relaxed and informal restaurant serving honest,
exceptional, robust, British classics. Located
in a unique, historic Grade II listed building
dating back to 1450, the restaurant still has
many original features including solid oak beams,
ancient doorways and beautiful open fireplaces.
Head chef, Damian Brown, uses fresh ingredients
and quality local produce to create simple, delicious
classics.
The Sweet Treat Co
The Sweet Treat Company is a family run, traditional
sweet shop in Winchester. The Sweet Treat Company
first opened in 2009 and owner, Kristian Price,
understood that to achieve success in a competitive
market, the opportunity presented by the internet
must be exploited to increase the business potential.
The website is an integral part to the business
and mirrors the shop and brand. It engages and
attracts a range of different user groups with
an average of 5000 visits per month.
La Place
La Place is a bistro Restaurant in Winchester,
located in a stunning position overlooking the
Cathedral only a short walk from the High Street.
The restaurant upstairs is spacious and has a
French ambience, whilst the à la carte
menu also introduces an international flavour.
Froggies Bar at street level is an ideal rendezvous
for a glass of wine or coffee, and also serves
lunch & specials, with of course our signature
planches. During the day one can enjoy the view
of the Cathedral with a snack or coffee, and they
are open every day from 11.00am.
