The short list for the 2011 Awards
has been drawn up in the eight separate categories.
At present the nominees for the
Business of the Year finalists have been announced.
The short listed nominees in each individual categories
will be announced over the next few weeks

Dutton Gregory Solicitors Business of the Year
Award
The nominees are:
Charters
In February 2009 Charters identified an opportunity
to introduce a far more personable, service driven,
estate agent to the city with the focus on putting
the customer first. In a recent independent survey
Charters had 18.7% of the market share out of
18 local competitor firms.
Jeremy France Jewellers
Jeremy France Jewellers is unique in the area
of exceptional customer service and ability to
offer a comprehensive range of jewellery services
all on-site. With a team of 22 members of staff,
it has been Jeremy's dedication and vision that
has made the business a huge success.
Guy Kremer
Established in 1976 in Winchester, Guy Kremer
has been offering award-winning hair styling services
for 35 years. Today the business boasts 15 stylists
as well as a support staff of 10. Managing Director
Guy Kremer is nationally regarded and is a member
of L'Oreals Professional Portfolio.
Caracoli
Caracoli has been trading for just under 5 and
a half years from its store in Alresford. The
company acquired premises at Twyford as its administrative
headquarters a year ago, where it also houses
the Caracoli cooking, packing and warehouse facility.
Anderson Sturgess Veterinary Specialists (ASVS)
In the four and a half years since ASVS opened
its doors it has grown into one of the foremost
and largest highly specialised referral centres
for cats and dogs in the country, employing seven
internationally recognised specialists, together
with a large number of nurses and support staff.
Kirton Farm Nurseries
Kirton Farm Nurseries was established in 1984
and developed by supplying local garden centres.
A drive to grow and market their plants more sustainably
has given the company an opportunity to reposition
their products in the market and over the past
5 years they have seen profits rise with 2010
being the best yet.
